Timothy Carson, Owner
Timm has a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and has 15 years of experience in SEA modeling, test correlation, sound package development, material testing, and NVH diagnostics. Prior to starting TMC Engineering, he worked for an automotive interior supplier as a Senior NVH Engineer, performing CAE engineering and managing the NVH test laboratory. In this role, Timm conducted full vehicle, component and material testing, and managed a full suite of testing facilities including a 4 wheel drive dynamometer in a hemi-anechoic chamber, reverberation room, transmission loss suite and quiet chamber.
Timm's skill set reaches outside of engineering, with hands-on experience and practical knowledge. Growing up, Timm worked with his Dad in the family workshop and later restored a 1984 Camaro. While at Michigan Tech, Timm was an active member of the Formula SAE team and gained hands on skills in design and manufactuing, learning how to make parts on mills, lathes, welders and other machinery. Timm is equally comfortable at a computer or in a workshop.
